Lots to see and do here. Test your skills in surf fishing on the beach. Sun bathers, the pool is nearby, just in front of the 600 building, equipped with chairs and an outside shower, with easy access to the beach.

Take a walk or jog on the beach, build a sand castle, search for shells, or catch the wind and fly a kite. For those hearty ones, climb to the top of the Oak Island Lighthouse.

Take a ride to nearby historic Southport on the Cape Fear River. Enjoy the swings at the waterfront park, tour the Franklin Square Art Gallery, or have lunch at our favorite place, The Provision Company.

While in Southport, take the ferry to Ft. Fischer to the North Carolina Aquarium or the Civil War Museum.
